Melanie Natasha Howard was selected for inclusion in Super Lawyers’ Up-And-Coming: Orange County Rising Stars – Top List. Ms. Howard was among a group of attorneys who received the highest point totals in the Southern California Rising Stars nomination, research and blue ribbon review process.
Vault Names M&R to ‘Top 150 Under 150’ List
Vault is the premier online resource for law students and lateral attorneys seeking to switch law firms. This year Vault launched the first ever Top 150 [law firms] with Under 150 [attorneys] list to help candidates and laterals identify “leading law firms with fewer attorneys, but no less expertise, than the global megafirms that often dominate rankings and headlines.” The Vault editorial team weighed the following factors in compiling the list:
- Vault survey data
- News stories
- Trade Journals and other legal publications
- Spoke with lawyer in the field
- Reviewed other published rankings
- Assessed firm for prestige, quality of life and professional growth opportunities
The final 150 were firms “known for providing top-notch service and delivering big results.”
Michelman & Robinson 39th Best U.S. Law Firm for Racial Minorities
Last month Law360 ranked Michelman & Robinson, LLP the 39th best U.S. law firm for racial minorities, “based on the firms’ minority representation at the partner and nonpartner levels and their total number of minority attorneys.” Yesterday, Law360 followed up with a piece on how most law firms are “fail[ing] to promote lawyer diversity.”
At M&R, we understand the value of a diverse workforce to our clients. And we know that our culture of inclusion makes us a stronger law firm. As such, we have implemented an active and impactful Diversity, Multiculturalism & Inclusion Committee, which is led by Founding Partner, Mark Robinson. We have also instituted the Women Attorneys of M&R (WAMR) subcommittee whose primary objective is the advancement of our female lawyers.
Despite the positive results reflected in the Law360 rankings, we will continue to strive to create a workforce that truly reflects the diversity of our clients.
